Weekend Pitch Allocations

Due to concerns of overuse of pitches we have decided to reaffirm the rules for pitch use.

In future the pitches for the weekend will be allocated, displayed on the board in the changing rooms that denotes use of rooms and circulated via the weekly fixtures e-mail.

The simple rules are

Main Pitch [1] is only to be used on Saturdays unless Shurv has granted permission.

All Junior matches on Sunday must be played over the road, regardless of the fact that there may be nothing on the clubhouse side.  Pitch 3 is smaller than pitch 4 so the older age group will play on the bigger pitch.

There are very good reasons for these decisions and they are to protect the playing areas as much as possible. The main two pitches do not recover as quickly as the other two and as they are also used for training they need to be looked after as best as we can.  If you feel that there are immediate problems with any pitch please talk to the committee and we will try to rectify them via a contractor or club work party.

You, of course, are welcome to comment and your help and co-operation will be appreciated.

Junior Team Coaches

As from now any junior team that is in the kitchen is also the key holder for the day.   So the gate and club need to be open by 9.15 and the urn topped up and turned on, changing rooms, store room opened, and boiler switched on.  After the matches please switch off the boiler, lights etc in the changing rooms and store and then ensure that you hand over responsibility to either Jackie or any team who may be playing later in the day to lock up the club house and gate.

If you think you could be having a late ko on mini home day's please do not take it for granted that Neil will be around to lock up, make sure you have your keys on you every time your at the club.  Also on training nights please make sure you have your key's do not really on somebody else!
