Old Scouts traveled over the road this week to play the Casuals on an extremely wet and windy day. Two matches were played the first game saw alot of handling errors by both sides which in these weather conditions were understandable.Old Scouts dug in and battled hard in the first half and took the first point. One change at half time by the casuals saw there sub bring the score level. With a few
good passes the Old Scouts managed to get the advantage just before the whistle. The score ended 2-1
In the second match saw a different team play for the Old Scouts and this showed well in the first half the fresh legs took the advantage over the Casuals and looked like they would run away with game, but
as in the first match the Casuals came back but once again the Old Scouts got stuck in and ran a last try in. The final score was 3-2
Player of the day goes to Harry Stacey for some good strong tackling and 3 fantastic trys.

This weekend saw the Old Scouts travell to Kettering for their second festival of the season. In the first game they played Wellingboro who put up a strong fight which saw
the Old scouts pinch the win 2-1.Next came Luton who tried there best but the old scouts were to strong and won 5-0,although a few injuries came out of this very physical game.
Match 3 saw the decider of the pool stage against old northantonians, some excellent rugby was played by both sides to provide the spectators a great game to watch, old scouts
lost this match due to a few tired legs and some missed tackles.
Onto the Semi final against the host team. With the old scouts getting tired after 3 hard games saw them hold out uptill half time going in at 0-0,the second half proved a little to long
the frustration set in of not being able to penetrate the Kettering line a couple of mistakes saw Kettering run 2 tries in and there was not enough time to come back for the old scouts.
Well done to all that took part.
