Olney 5 points Northampton Old Scouts 26 points

Scouts were strong from the start, winning a majority of the line outs and pushed Olney well in the scrums to keep them on the back foot. Olney did have their moments, making some line breaks, but Scouts always had a man to cover and stop any breakaway scores. The forwards created two first half tries, the first when Elliot Taite took the ball from the back of a strong maul and found space around the fringes to dart over and the second when another maul drove over and Jack Hunt got up with the ball. The backs scored two more after the break. One from a tap penalty that went left to winger Alex Stephens, and soon after the restart the ball made its way right to Calum Bains who found a way through the defenders to touch down. Sam French added three conversions in difficult conditions.
